Body Scan Meditations

I used to hate doing body scan meditations but it really is a great tool for getting centered and grounded. Some people like to start at the head or toes and work their way to the other end of the body. Slowly bringing awareness to each part as they go; releasing tension and tightness as they come upon it, until they’re centered in the body, in the moment. Personally, I like to bring awareness into the entire body and note the place I’m holding tension the most. Release it. Then move to the next place I’m holding tension until I’ve moved through the entire body. Either way, or any other way, body scans work well for letting go of stress and tensions and just becoming present and aware.

All the instagram hashtags from the original post date of May 16, 2021. I think I had gotten the second dose of vaccine about 3 weeks earlier. Things were starting to really turn around form the worst of the pandemic.
